Media

Yes, I strongly agree with all of the celebrities that get attention for doing absolutely nothing when there are people dying overseas and in Iraq every day that we never even hear about. I believe our media today and here in the USA is to focused around material things and who has what and doesn't stop to think about the people who make this country what it is.

If I went home and my home was no long my "home" but owned by a bank I would go ballistic. I would be so upset and aggravated. I would be feeling so many different emotions. I really do not know how I would handle the situation because when something makes me really really mad at first i just blow up and then I cool down and look at all the resolutions. I would probably contact the police first. Then I would try and get a hold of the bank. I really do not think we would have this kind of problem here in Childress. Maybe somewhere like New York City or some very big town like that might have this type of problem. But here in Childress everyone is pretty good about being fair and honest with people.

Teacher Who Impacted Me

Well...it is hard to pick just one teacher who has impacted me...but I think the one I would pick would be Mr. Hughes. He was my 3rd grade teacher and he was the nicest teacher I ever had. He always made me want more for myself than what I had. I always got my 100 points every year but in 3rd grade I think I got up to 273 points...I really wanted to get to 300 but I got past my goal of just 100. He always gave us rewards for when we did good things. If we had a fire drill and we were quiet on the playground while we waited to go back into class he would bring us cookies or a cake or some type of sweets to class the next day! He always gave us goals but made us prove ourselves to him to reach the goals.

Option 1

Setting: Your childhood neighborhood

Starting Phrase: As the old man approached my friends and me...

Four words that must be included in the story: barefoot, bicycle, flashlight, gibberish

"As the old man approached my friends and me we took a step back because he kinda smelled bad." We were riding our bicycles through the neighborhood when this man walked toward us and started talking all this gibberish that we couldnt understand so we told him to slow down and tell us what was the matter with him.
The old man started to explain that he had lost his puppy and he didn't know where she had gone to. He had left the front door open and she took off. He went to chase after her but only made it to the end of the driveway because he was barefoot.
It was getting dark outside so we offered to help look for the little pup. He went inside and got us a flashlight and we looked around the neighborhood and we finally found her wandering around in the alley. :)
